The Importance of STEM Tours- Zombie

STEM tours are important for inspiring kids to get into STEM fields. They are also important for college-bound students who are uncertain about what they want to study.

The best way to inspire kids in STEM is by taking them on a tour of a workplace or university. This will allow them to see what it’s like and the mentors that can help them succeed. STEM tours are a great way to inspire kids and get them excited about these subjects. They give them an idea of what it would be like to work in these fields and the available opportunities.

The Denver Professionals, in partnership with SOCIT and hosted by the University of Colorado Boulder, invited students apart of SOCIT and CABPES chapters to attend a campus tour at the Boulder Campus. Students engaged in STEM activities toured the college facility and had the opportunity to speak to students who were currently studying a STEM discipline. We believe this allowed students to better understand career paths to take in the near future.
